I’ve never been able to review a restaurant before because of my eating disorder, so after a few weeks of non stop trying and enjoying, new foods, I decided to chose a place that while it has great reviews on trip advisor, it doesn’t have many.
And after some research I’ve found out why, It used to be called rubaru, online is king, and when you can’t find a website for a business, it’s going to struggle in today’s market place.
Nishat lounge still has its old webpge here http://www.rubaru.co.uk/ The other thing I found is when driving past, it was hard to recognise as a restaurant, after speaking with the owner, Alamgir, I established this was because it’s a listed building and therefore a wealth of restrictions in place.
The establishment was impeccably clean ad not “over”decorated Upon arrival we were seated in the lounge, where drinks were served and the menus handed out Once ordered our starters were at our table before us The music was a nice mix of modern UK music and traditional Indian
As soon a the starters were done, the main meal arrived…. And boy was it glorious, a mix of spices, lamb, chicken, Mmmmmmmmmmm
Alamgir and his staff were extremely helpful all night long, be it with small talk or telling us about the dishes, the history or refilling out glasses before we’d even asked.
All the food barring to deserts were cooked fresh and it told, I’ve never ever tasted anything so glorious, ever.
This made me smile
The night ended as it had begun, with Alamgir and his staff making us feel so warm ad welcome It wasn’t like a restaurant at all, more like a gathering of close friends, such is the Level of service and attention to detail.
Overall I can’t rate the nishat lounge chadderton highly enough, I for one will be making a return visit before very long.
You should too.
If they can work out signage and get a new website up asap then they have the food to become oldhams number one , they really do…

You had chips with a curry?
Starters baby
They could have a website up and running in next to no time. They’d need to get a URL registered, then they could build themselves something using tools like weekly.com. I’ve used it to build http://www.gmmhl.org.uk – and if I can do it anyone can!
Alamgir has sold it last week
Suspect the new owner can see where the gaps are needed
Just hope the chef stays!!!!
