Cycle Of Life – Fix You

First Up, sorry for missing out on last weeks update, life sort of took over.

Last Week My sister, pictured me with me here

Hehehe, I love embarrassing pictures of me, it’s all I have know for years, not sure she will tho :0)

Anyway, last week, after many years of hurt, finally had a baby, so I spent some time over there with her, I cant tell you how proud I am of her, &  I even have a picture of her baby wearing Oakley’s ….but that comes later :0)

I have also been working really long hours and putting in extra miles on the bike, so last weekend, I was pretty much too tired for anything let alone thinking of what to write , after all, I have only been back on the bike for 4 weeks.

May-be a good month ?

Well the sun was out, my legs were shaved and my Contacts were in,

but just how well did I do last month ?

Elevation Gain:    24,721 ft
Calories:    34,681 C
Max Speed:    39.8 mph
Avg Speed:    15.5 mph

All on a single speed…..I am MORE than happy with that !!!!!

*The above doesn’t count the number of Strava KOM’s and PB’s, I’ll look at a way of doing so for June and Strava has REALLY drove me on this month !

Yup, I am now wearing contacts 99% of the time on the bike, I never thought I could, and its amazing to be proven wrong, I wish I had done it YEARS ago, it was weird tho, I did see being “Behind ” Glasses as secure and safe, so breaking down another barrier and glad I did.

Don’t worry, I have now had a hair cut!!!!!

63 Stone Georgia Davies – “Britain’s Fattest Teenager”

Last week saw the rescue of “Britain’s Fattest Teenager” Georgia Davies ,who weighed in at 63stone by over 50 firemen and rescue workers, I wrote about Georgia a few years back , I wish her the best with her battle for her life but at 19 years old, you have to look at who is to blame for this, she goes to “Fat camp” proves she has a desire to lose the weight and change, then comes back at 18 stone and goes off the rails again, becomes house bound and yet still someone feeds her junk food, to the point of of gaining over 40 stone !, she lives with her mum and step dad and quite frankly , if the story’s that are coming out are true, her mum at the very least needs to take a long hard look at herself………Not wanting to labor the point BUT Georgia was a “Virtual Prisoner, in her bedroom” according to all the reports, yet her mum today says she ordered food, then snook outside every meal time to meet the delivery driver, that’s not someone who is a prisoner, it just smacks of someone trying to save themselves from a media bashing  and potentially neglect hearing ….I for one want this to play out well, but just cant see it with a Mother like that, Georgia you have my best wishes, your mother, however, doesn’t .

and finally

more Friday legs saw me take a shorter route and once again pick up the pace.
